|Distress Ink Love Card - Inked Art & Cards by SLMP|
I started this card by stamping the image with VersaMark Ink onto Neenah Exact Index, white, 90-pound cardstock cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches, and then heat embossing it with Wow Ebony Embossing Powder. I had a long struggle finding the right black embossing powder and when I tried this one I fell in love. The Wow Ebony gives me great results that mimic my clear powders. I've had the heart stamp for too many years to count, it's a PSX stamp. If you want to get your hands on one I did find it on eBay.
I used Scattered Staw Distress Ink in the center of the heart and then built the color outside with Worn Lipstick and Abandoned Coral. I completed the card by stamping Prima Marketing Texture Iron Orchid Cling Stamp using Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. Once I completed the front panel I used the largest of the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles Wafer Dies to cut it to size.
I completed the card by mounting the stamped panel on a vellum rectangle, slightly larger than the panel, using some heart brads from my stash. I then added the word love using the Impression Obsession Love die. Then the panel was adhered to a top folding A2 card created with a smokey gray cardstock from Michaels.
